How to getting Bhutan

How to getting there:

Bhutan can be reached by air and by road but we highly recommend you to get Bhutan by air as by road would not be convenient.

Paro Airport

Flight to Bhutan goes basically from Delhi, Kathmandu, Bangkok, Singapore and Kolkota and sometime from other airport also. At present two carriers operate to Bhutan, Drukair and Bhutan Airlines. There are also domestic airports in Yonphula in eastern Bhutan, Bumthang in central Bhutan, and Gelephu in south-central Bhutan. Scenic flight by plane or helicopter is also on offers. Domestic helicopter service has only operated since 2016.  In case of rain, there will be delay on flight otherwise they will provide good service. Government regulates the civil aviation by the “Department of Civil Aviation”. The Department is responsible for promotion of aviation sector in Bhutan, Airport development and Management, and for Providing Air Navigation services. The Department is currently headed by the Director General of Civil Aviation and is under the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Paro international airport of Bhutan is situated at a height of 2,225 m (7300 ft) above sea level and is surrounded by mountains as high as 4,876 m (16,000 ft). The flight between Paro and Kathmandu is one of the most exciting ones as the aircraft passes over four of the five highest mountains in the world. In fine weather, as you soar higher up, you can enjoy the spectacular view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Kanchenjunga at their best.
