Day to Day Itinerary:
| Day 01 | Kathmandu - Lhasa You reach Lhasa by a trans-Himalayan flight from Kathmandu. You cross the main Himalayan. Range before hovering over the massive Tibetan plateau savoring the breathtaking view of the majestic mountain range. The bird's eye view of Mount Everest and other peaks like Langtang (7100m), Gauri Shankar (7245m), Melungtse (7100m), Xixapangma (8012m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Lhotse (8516m), and Makalu (8463m), among others, is truly spectacular. Your plane will be landed at Lhasa Gonggar Airport (93km from the main city) at 13:40pm Chinese time. Transfer to Lhasa and check in. Afternoon free for acclimatization & O/N Hotel |
| Day 02 | Lhasa AM visit the monumental palace of Tibetan Kings and Dalai Lamas-Potala Palace, PM visit Tibet’s most sacred Temple Jorkhang Temple & Barkhor street & O/N in Lhasa Hotel |
| Day 03 | Early morning drive to Yangpacheng Hot Spring which is 92km distance north from Lhasa. Appreciate the landscape of Qiang grassland and Nyacheng Tangula Snow Mt. Range. Continuely driving to Namtso (158km), literally heavenly lake, which is the biggest lake in Tibet and the second biggest salt lake in China as well as the highest lake in the world (4748m). It’s one of the three holy lakes in Tibet, playing an important role among Tibetans. Same day back to Lhasa & O/N Hotel |
| Day 04 | Morning drive towards southwest to Yamdrok Lake via Kambala Pass (4970m), the sacred water so called “Swan Lake”. After picnic lunch at lake side, drive to Gyantse (259km), if time permits, visit Kumbum & Pelku Chode in Gyantse, continuely driving to Shigatse (90km), capital of Tsang which is the second biggest city in Tibet & O/N at Hotel in Sigatse |
| Day 05 | Morning visit the monastic city of the Pachen Lamas-Tashilunbo Monastery, which was originally built in 1447, known as one of the sic major monasteries of the Gelug Sect. The highlight of the monastery is the statue of Maitreya Buddha made of copper with 22.4 meters high, which looks graceful and dignified in appearance. It is considered to be the highest statue in the world. Then drive back to Lhasa via northern road (300km) & O/N Hotel |
