Passport:
Tourist, who intends to visit Nepal, must hold a valid passport 6 month after your return date.
Visa:
Foreign tourist except Indian citizens visiting Nepal requires a visa. Any Nepalese Embassy or Consulate or Immigration office while entering Nepal from the airport grants tourist visa.
Visa fees for 15 days is charged US $25 or equivalent foreign currency to obtain tourist visa with multiple entry. For 30 days US $ 40 and for 100 days US $ 100 is charged for multiple entry. Paying US $ 2 or equivalent Nepalese currency per day can extend tourist visa. Likewise, multiple entry facility can be obtained only for the extension period by additional US $ 20 and visa fee for the extended period. Similarly, tourists can renew their visa by paying Nepalese currency equivalent to US $ 3 on the regular visa extension fee. For extension of visa once you are in Nepal, the Department of Immigration charges US $ 30 for each additional month.
The embassy of Nepal in your country doesn't deliver a visa by correspondence.
Photos:
Passport size photo are required for visa preparation and permits. So please carry more than 5 photos with you.
Trekking Permit:
Trekkers require trekking permit for the restricted areas but conservation and national park fees are compulsory for almost every region.
Restricted Areas:
- Manaslu
- Humla (Simikot-Yari)
- Dolpo (Lower and Upper)
- Upper Mustang
- Kanchenjunga
- Nar Phu
Health:
- Good health and average level of physical fitness is required..
- No vaccine is necessary. However, tourists visiting southern Nepal are recommended to take anti-malaria vaccine. It would be wise to follow the advice of your physicians prior to your departure for Nepal.
Extra care should be given to drinking water.
- Extra care should be given to water. Always drink the purified water.
- Bring your own medicines such as water purifier, paracetamols, betadine, anti-diarrhea, etc..
Luggage:
Most international airline companies will allow limited weight upto 20 kg, The domestic airline companies will allow weight upto 15kg and the airline company invoices all supplements.
For the trek under tent, foresee a big flexible bag easy to carry in buses and to tie on the baskets. Don't forget to take a rucksack for your personal stuffs (camera, water bottle, warm clothes...)

Security:
Yatri Trekking declines all the responsibilities concerning the participants who do not have an insurance covering interruption of visit, flight loss, luggage damage, health, re-search expenses, rescue, medical expenses…
Insurance:
Yatri Trekking accept the reservation request only from those tourists who have insurance covering all the cost for cancellation, accidents, health, helicopter rescue, repatriation, losses, theft or damage of baggage, etc….
Even if you have insurance for above-mentioned headings, we strongly recommend to make sure if they are sufficient to cover those costs. Experiences showed us many tourists realizing the inadequacy of their insurance when it was too late.
Do not forget to inform your insurance company that you are going for a hike (country + altitude) and ask that your contract (in return for a supplementary premium) include a clause of repatriation by helicopter up to Kathmandu.
Money:
Credit cards are accepted in most of hotels and stores in Katmandu and Pokara. The Standard Chartered Bank delivers cash in rupees (without commission) and of Traveller's checks in foreign currency (commission of 2%) on showing the Visa Card and Master Card.
You can send money to Kathmandu or can receive it through the Western Union Money Transfer in 24 hours (says the advertisement but count 48 hours), for the transfer will be paid in rupees during the day at Annapurna Travels in Kathmandu or his agents.
Voltage:
Electricity is not available in many parts of Nepal so please bring a universal adapter and multi plug with three pins, 220 volts, there may be a big fluctuation of power time to time.

Camp Treks:
