Dolpo:-Traverse upper Dolpo via Dho (Ref: YTR18NP)

This upper Dolpo circuit is also the complete one, which consists of entire Dolpo region including the passes Kangla (5200m) and Gela (5100m) and the 2nd biggest village of Dolpo: Saldang and Shey Gumba.

Dolpo region, that culturally and naturally resembles the Mustang region, lies in the direct route between Tibet and Nepal, where we cross the caravans of yaks carrying salt and wool from Tibet. It makes any trekkers feel the lifestyle of mountainous region. It offers a highly adventurous journey where you get to feel the rhythm of chörtens, Buddhist prayer spots and watching Blue Sheep, Snow Leopard, Rabbit and Marmot in the Shey Phoksundo National Park where Shey Phoksundo Lake lies.

Highlights: Phoksundu Lake, Dho-Tarap, Nomad Life styles Shey Gumpa and monasteries etc.

Day to Day Itinerary:
Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu: Reception at the airport and transfer to hotel, O/N in hotel.
Day 02 Kathmandu: Day Free for the preparation of the trek.
Day 03 Kathmandu- Nepalgunj (m), by plane 1hr or by bus 12hrs, O/N in hotel.
Day 04 Nepalgunj - Juphal (2400m), 45 minutes by plane- Dunai (2135m), 3hrs & O/N in camp.
Day 05 Dunai-Chapka (2670m), 5/6hrs of walk & O/N at camp
Days 06-08 Chapke- Sumdo (3300m), Ringmo (3600m) 5/6hrs of walk per day & O/N in camp.
Days 09-13 Trek to Ringmo - Sallaghari, Kangla Base camp (4400m), Shey Gumba (4500m), Saldang (4000m), 5-8hrs of walk per day & O/N in camp.
Days 14-17 Trek to Tribeni (3500), Cha (4400m), Yak Kharka (4500m), Dho (4040m) 7/8 hrs of walk per day & O/N in camp.
Days 18-21 Trek to Tarap Khola (3850m), Lahini (3000m), Tarakot, Juphal (2400m), 5-8hrs of walk per day & O/N in camp.
Day 22 Juphal- Nepalgunj- Kathmandu
Day 23 Kathmandu: Day free for the reservation and buying souvenirs, O/N in hotel.
Day 24 Kathmandu, security day O/N in hotel.
Day 25 Departure: Transfer to the airport.
The Cost Includes:
  • Transfer: Airport / Hotel pick up & drop by private car/van as per group size.
  • Full board basis during the trekking in tent, camping equipment will be provided such as two-men tents, dining tent, foam mattresses, stools and all cooking and kitchen gear, meals will be prepared by our kitchen staff (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea and coffee.), (Except beverage).
  • An Experienced & Professional Government license holder English speaking trained Trekking guide.
  • Shey Phoksundo National Park permit
  • 5 nights in hotel Manaslu at Katmandu or Similar category on a twin sharing bed and BB basis.
  • 1 night at tourist class hotel in Nepalgunj on twin sharing basis with breakfasts
  • 1 night at tourist class hotel in Pokhara on twin sharing basis with breakfasts
  • First aid kit will be available during the trek.
