
Temple Tiger Jungle Lodges, one of the finest in Asia, are situated in the dense forest of Royal Chitwan National Park in the mysterious Himalayan country, Nepal. The sight of the serenely flowing Narayani River and the Majestic Himalayas looming overhead is a sight one cannot forget in a hurry. The tented camps are situated in the vicinity of the jungle lodges.
The lush green forest of the Terai is home to many wild animals. Chitwan National Park, that lies at a convenient distance from capital Kathmandu, is home to hundreds of species of wild animals including the endangered species of Royal Bengal Tiger, one-horn Rhino, wild elephants, pythons, crocodiles, bear, many species of dears and about 450 species of birds. Tourists can get a close view of these animals and their activities by roaming around the jungle on an elephant back, on a safari Jeep or on foot with a nature guide if you have a strong heart. Not only this, Chitwan is the ethnic and inhabitants Villages of Tharu where one could see ochre colour mud houses with thatched roofs. Their main profession is agriculture.
Access: 3 hours of Pokhara, a 20min flight facility or 5 hours bus rides from capital Kathmandu take you in the land of Chitwam. You can also opt the waterway by rafting along the Trishuli River.

| Day 01. | Drive Kathmandu / Temple Tiger Jungle Lodge. 'OR' Fly Kathmandu/Bharatpur (20 min flight). TEMPLE TIGER JUNGLE LODGE is situated 189 KM southwest of Kathmandu at an elevation of about 150 meters above sea level. It is in the heart of the Royal Chitwan National Park, a 932 square Kilometer (360 square miles) area of tall grassland and magnificent forest – one of the Asia’s richest and most spectacular wildlife sanctuaries. Royal Chitwan National Park is the home of the great one horned rhinoceros, sloth bear, wild boar, guar (bison), 4 species of deer, 2 species of monkeys, 2 species of crocodiles, the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, over 450 species of birds and various other reptiles. All twin bedded rooms at Temple Tiger Jungle Lodge are attractively furnished and each room has attached modern toilet amenities and solar – heated showers. Nepalese and Western cuisine is served in the centrally located two Dinning halls i.e. the round house and Square house. Our well – stocked bar will cater to the needs of the thirsty. The bar is open until the last guest retires. In the late afternoon, the guests will be taken for a jungle safari on elephant back so that they can penetrate deep into the jungle for viewing and photographing wildlife or a jungle walk is organized for the guests to experience the abundant bird life and the flora and fauna of the park. If you are lucky you may see the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger both on nature walk as well as on elephant safari. |
| Day 02. | Early morning guests will be mounted on elephant back and taken for a jungle safari for about 2 hours penetration through dense grassland to view wildlife. This grass (commonly known as elephant grass) is dense and grows to a height of 18 – 20 ft. It is the favorite habitat of the rhinoceros and other mammals. After breakfast, elephants/Land rover and boats will transfer the guests to waiting vehicles for the transfer to Bharatpur Airport for flight to Kathmandu with packed lunch provided by Temple Tiger Jungle Lodge or drive to Kathmandu. |
