
THE TAMANG HERITAGE trail is situated at north – west of Kathmandu . The trek can be organized as a combine camping , home stay and lodge package trekking. It is the new Trekking route that is recently authorised by the government for the tourist before it was forbidden. The tamang people inhabit the valley. Tamangs are one of the indigenous people of Nepal, which belongs to the tibetain-nepalese group. Mostly these groups are settle at the territorial of Kathmandu and northern boarder with Tibet.
The valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild primrose. It is a moderate circuit. The people are Buddhists and there main occupation is agriculture and trade with Tibet. We can notice the influence of Tibet. The tamang women wear beautiful ornament of precious stones and their colourful dress, which reminds us the Tibet. In the month of april and march the forest is reddish with the Rhododendron flower which is also the national flower of Nepal. With the majestic view of Langtang and Ganesh Himalayan range. The valley is also paradise for the wild animal like leopards, red panda’s and musk deer.

| Day 02 | Kathmandu: Free day, preparation day for the trek. |
| Day 03 | Kathmandu- syabrubesi (1467m.) Drive 9_10 Hrs by bus and night stay at syabrubeshi. |
| Day 04 | Syabrubesi - Gatlang (2238m.) 5/6 walking hrs. Overnight stay in lodge From Syabrubesi we reach the viewpoint from where we can see the fantastic view of Ganesh Himal, Gosaikunda range and the Goljang valley. Now we head down to Goljang valley for the Lunch which is an hour walking down hill from the viewpoint. Gatlang the beautiful Tamang village is another 3 hrs walk from Goljang. |
| Day 05 | Gatlang - Tatopani (2607m.) 6/7walking hrs. Overnight stay in lodge View of Langtang range and GaneshHimal . At Tatopani which naturally signifies 'hot water', you can take hot bath in natural hot springs with bathing areas in the lap of the mountains. The walk begins by descending to Thangbuchet (near Chilime village) by the Bhotekoshi River. Chilime Hydropower dam is situated here. After lunch the trail will be ascending up crossing the hanging bridge. Ascend continues until you get to Tatopani which literally means 'hot water', |
| Day 06 | Tatopani -Thuman (2338m.) 4/5 walking hrs. Overnight stay in lodge The panoramic view of Langtang, Kerung, Ganesh Himal, Sanjen ranges can be viewed from Nagthali. We might see the animal like deer , monkey. |
| Day 07 | Thuman - Timure (1726m) 5/6 walking hrs overnight stay at lodge While trekking from Thuman to Timure you can visit nearby historical Rasuwagadi. This day's trekking grants you an opportunity to observe Tibeto Burman Tamang culture on the two villages on the way. Timure is on the old trade route to Tibet.. |
| Day 08 | Timure - Briddim (2229m.) 5/6 hrs Walking , home stay The trail begin with flatter trail in the beginning and descends to Timure .Rasuwaghadi (Nepal-Tibet boarder) is just 3hrs walk from Timure lies on the bank of River Briddim another Tibetan influenced Tamang village. Homestay at Briddim is a unique experience. All accommodations are offered at the individual houses on a rotational basis. Each host family provides clean bed, toilet and a family dining room. |
| Day 09 | Briddim -Syabrubesi (1467m.) 2/3 Walking hrs overnight stay at lodge Descent passing through villages, terraces and magnificent views of surrounded hills. Lunch and rest of the day is free. Dinner overnight at Syabrubesi. |
