Nayaganga Peak Climbing
Nayaganga Peak Climbing (Ref: YTR19NMA)

Situated: The peak lies in north east of Himalayan range, which is known as Langtang region. Officially known as Ganja La Chuli. Naya Kanga rises to the west of Ganja La, and is a popular but technically difficult to climb. Naya Ganga Expedition Peak climbing can be combined with Langtang-Helambu trek. The peak offers, spectacular panoramic views of mountains including Langshisa Ri (6,370m), Shisapangma (8,046m), Langtang Lirung (7,425m), and Langtang II (6,571m).

Approach: The normal route is a trek through the Langtang to Helambu region and a climb via the snowy north-East Ridge from the base camp, which is situated at 4900m. From the base camp we climb on the rocks up to the flat glacier, which is dominated by the East Ridge. Then we cross this glacier towards west to rejoin the departure point to the summit through a corridor, to reach to the north ridge through a shoulder. Climb again about 200m stiff with 45° to the left seracs, then arrive at the large ridge but always not easy to cross the last wall to arrive in the summit. Then we turn to the ice nose on the left, which is only the technical section on the climb. Now the ridge widens and leads to a small col. on the east-west summit ridge and the summit is only 30m higher to the right. The climb near the summit should be done carefully. Normally, the ascent takes 5-7 hours from the high camp. For the return trek, we may follow Ganja La-Helambu route or back the way we came to Dhunche.
