Manaslu circuit from Dharche via Laprak
Manaslu circuit from Dharche via Laprak (Ref: YTR10NP)

Manaslu lies in the mid- northern Tibet border of Nepal within Gorkha District; this region was opened for trekkers in 90s to explore the mythical universe of living Tibetan tradition. Gorkha is a small independent state from where the unification of modern Nepal began is the starting point of the trek. The Gurung village of Laprak can be reached by two different routes; either along the Daraundi valley or the hillside of Dharche. Dharche is a magnificent panoramic view point to admire the lofty mountain summits like Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Buddha Himal, Himalchuli, Annapurna and so on.

After Laprak, we follow Budhi Gandaki valley, the trail continue northward passing through many villages of the Tibetan origin. These villages offer an opportunity to explore their customs and cultures, monasteries, prayer flags, prayer wheel and prayer walls.
