Gokyo Chola Pass Everest Base Camp Trekking
Upper route of Renjo-la to Gokyo (Ref: YTR13NP)

This is more adventurous trek with comparison with other trek of Everest region so those who are physically strong and had already good experience in trekking over the glacier are considered for this. High mountain's climbing warm clothes (down jackets, Goretex…) are required.

The region of Everest, call also Khumbu, the area offers a glimpse of the lifestyle and culture of the world-renowned mountain race Sherpas. In addition to experiencing the Buddhist Sherpa culture, you can get a proximate view of Everest (8848m) and other mountains of the Khumbu range. Khumbu means mountains in Sherpa language. Indeed, trekkers will be trekking parallel to the mountain ranges from a close proximity throughout their trek. From the vantage point of 'Pike Peak', trekkers can observe a breathtaking view of several mountains like Lhotse (8511m), Nuptse (7864m), Cho-Oyu (8201m), Makalu (8475m), among others. From this viewpoint, you can also get a bird's eye view of the Sherpa towns, and a trail of trekkers ascending through the trekking trails towards their destinations of Everest Camp Base, Khumjung or Thame.

High Light: Namche Bazar, the capital of Shepas, Gokyo Lake, Kalapathar (5545m), The immense view of the mount Everest and view of the prestigious summits: Amadablam (6856m), Thamserku (6608m), Pumori (7145m) and Nuptse (7879m).

Day to Day Itinerary:
Day 01 Arrive in Kathmandu: Welcome in airport and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02 Kathmandu: Free day to make formalities for the trek.
Day 03 Kathmandu - Lukla (2800 m) by plane (30min) –Phakding, 3/4hrs walking towards Phakding & O/N at lodge.
Day 04 Phakding - Namche Bazar (3446m) 5/6hrs of walk and O/N at lodge.
Day 05 Namche Bazar: Rest and acclimatization day.
Day 06 Namche - Thame: 4/5hrs of walk and O/N at lodge at 3960m.
Day 07 Thame – Langden (4500m) 5/6hrs of walk and O/N in lodge.
Day 08 Langden – Renjo pass (5340m) – Gokyo (4800m): 7/8 hrs of walk and O/N at lodge.
Day 09 Gokyo Lake – Gokyo Ri (5340m) - Dragnak (4600m), 7/8hrs of walk O/N at lodge.
Day 10 Dragnag - Chola Pass (5368m) - Dzonglha (4950m) 7/8hrs (approx) walk, O/N at lodge.
Day 11 Dzonglha - Lobuche (4900m), 3/4hrs walk. O/N at lodge.
Day 12 Lobuche, the rest day and visit Gorakshep, Kalapathar (5545m) 7/8hrs of walk O/N at lodge.
Day 13 Lobuche – Tengbopche (3800m), 6/7hrs of walk O/N at lodge.
Day 14 Tengboche - Namche (3440m), 5/6hrs walking, O/N at lodge.
Day 15 Namche – Lukla: 7/8hrs of walk, O/N at lodge.
Day 16 Depart for Kathmandu
Day 17 Kathmandu: Free day (sightseeing) O/N in hotel.
Day 18 Departure: Transfer to the airport.
The Cost Includes:
  • Transfer: Airport / Hotel pick up & drop by private car/van as per group size.
