This circuit will take you to the Tilicho Lake situated in higher altitude of world at 4900m. We cross the Mesokunda Pass 5100m after we leaving Tilicho Lake to reach Jomsom.
Traditionally, Annapurna is a goddess of abundance in South India, according to Hindu mythology. Today, the word ' Annapurna' has its meaning linked to a mountain range with some of the top summits of the world and the region around it, renowned for trekking. One of the most popular trekking destinations, Annapurna circuit offers spectacular views of the Himalayas. The adventurous trek that can be extended more than a month for avid trekkers, has something new to offer each day of the trek, with varied levels of landscapes and diverse cultural experiences with various mountain tribes. On the way, you will cross the deepest gorge of the world, Kali Gandaki, cut by the river between two giant mountains Dhaulagiri (8167m) and Annapurna (8091m). As you walk up and down along the river valleys including Marshyangdi, you will witness the scenic beauty of gilded paddy fields in the fall and thick blooming rhododendron forests in the springs.
This is more adventurous trek with comparison with other Annapurna classic circuit, so those who are physically strong and had already good experience in trekking over the glacier are considered for this.
High mountain's climbing warm clothes (down jackets, Gore-tex…) are required. It is very cold at the base camp and while crossing the passes. So it is better to bring a pair of Crampons, Ice axe and a rope about 20 to 30 mts.
High Light: Annapurna Range, Dhawalagiri, Poon Hill (3200 m.), Mt. Machhapuchhre, the deepest gorge of Kaligandaki around the world etc.
