Leaving the Sunkoshi gorge, you will climb up to the Tibetan Plateau from where you head west across the vast, starkly and scenic high land plateau. It will be days before you get the first glimpse of Mount Kailash far in the horizon that resembles the sighting of giant pyramids amid the Sahara desert, when you start your trip.
You will meet several pilgrims traveling in caravans or small groups en route to this once in a lifetime classical trip. In West valley you are likely to encounter hundreds of Tibetan nomads, many of whom will have walked for months to reach their holy destination. When you reach your destination, you will camp by the Lakeside, Manasarovar before returning back the same route.
