(Ref: YTR01-IND) Markha valley Trek from Spituk ( 15 days )
This is one of the most accessible circuits for Ladakh among trekkers from a long time because of beautiful valley, overshadowed by Kanyatse and other groups of peak. Our program starts from Delhi, from where we proceed to Leh via flight. In Leh we will be going for the sight seeing of the local monasteries, the villages, the people, their culture, tradition and much more. The famous and architecturally rich monasteries could be visited. Some of them are Shey, Thiksey, Hemis monasteries. For this circuit we will have to cross as many as two passes and numerous small villages. This trek begins from Spituk monastery crossing Gandala pass (4380m) which take you across the Markha valley and Kangmaru la pass (5406m). You will reach to Shang, Martsellang from where your return to Leh by jeep. Back to Delhi, we will be going to Agra by drive from Delhi to visit the city of Agra.
Itinerary
Day 01
Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi late in the evening or very early morning (depends up the flight) transfer to hotel for few hours stay.
Day 02
Delhi – Leh
Transfer to domestic airport for flight to Leh.The flight leaves at 05h45 hrs and arrives Leh at 07h55.Arrive Leh, transfer to Hotel for O/N at Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure
Day 03
Leh, full day sight seeing Shey, Thiksey and Hemis monastery & O/N at hotel
Day 04
Leh-Spituk (3200m) then trek to Zinchen (3380m) 4/5 hrs walk & O/N in camp
Day 05
Zinchen – Base of Ganda-la (4380m) 5/6 hrs walk &O/N in Camp
Day 06
Base of Ganda-la – Ganda la (4900m) – Skiu (3500m) 6/7 hrs walk & O/N in Camp
Day 07
Skiu – Markha (3880m) 6/7 hrs walk & O/N in Camp.
Day 08
Markha – Tchatchutse 5/6hrs walk & O/N in camp
Day 09
Tchatchutse – Nimaling (4870m) 4hrs walk & O/N camp.
Day 10
Nimaling – Kongmaru la (5150) – Shang (3830m) 7/8 hrs walk & O/N in camp.
Day 11
Shang – Martsellang (then drive to Leh (3/4 hrs) & O/N at Hotel.
Day 12
Free in Leh.
Day 13
Leh/Delhi flight then drive to Agra & O/N at Hotel
Transfer to airport for flight to Delhi. Arrive Delhi drive to Agra, which is 200 km and takes 4/5 hrs. Arrive Agra visit Taj Mahal at Sun Set.
Day 14
Agra/Delhi
Visit the Taj Mahal at Sunrise. Leave hotel to visit the Agra Fort. After visit drive to Delhi. Arrive Delhi in the afternoon transfer to hotel for wash and change. Late evening transfer to airport for homeward flight.
Day 15
Departure to International Airport.
Our Tariff Includes:
Complete board and lodge except in Delhi & Agra it will be on bed and breakfast basis
All transfers and sightseeing in Delhi including overnight trip to Agra by air-conditioned coach
All ground transportation including sightseeing in and around Leh will be by non air-conditioned Jeeps
All trekking arrangements such as two men tent with mattresses, kitchen/mess tent, utensils, meals, cook, helper, local guide, pack ponies for luggage and camping fee.
Entry to monasteries ( for Ladakh portion only )
