Ladakh is a prime destination for the traveler searching for great adventure combined with a journey into the world of Mahayana Buddhist. Ladakh lies at an altitude ranging from about 2700m at Kargil to 7670m at Saser Kangri in Karakoram.
The journey starts from Delhi; we will have sightseeing of the city. The famous Raisina Hill, Rastrapati Bhawan, India gate, Humayuns tomb are the attraction of Delhi. The Eiffel towers of India, "Qutub minar" and the Red fort i.e The Lal killa are tourist's sites in Delhi. After the New Delhi visits on the first day, we will proceed to Leh, it is the capital of Ladakh. Ladakh’s Gompa old and new, are splendid, with beautiful interior frescoes and statues. Visit ancient monasteries like Spituk, Sankar, Shanti Stupa, Stok, Matho, Stakna, Thiksey etc. these are the monasteries with their respective identities. Hemis, Tak thok, Alchi, Phyang, Basgo, Likir are located in different places of Ladakh, which contrasts Ladakh from other part of the country. Lamayuru, Skurbucha, Dha Hanu, Ulleytokpo all these monasteries are the symbols of Buddhism in Ladakh. Bhuddism rock engravings are found all over the region, even in areas likes Drass and the lower Suru valley. Although other religions are also found in Ladakh but all the monasteries in different places indicate that the land is anciently a Buddhist land.
But today we found inhabitation of the Muslim population in those areas. The division between Muslim and Buddhist Ladakh passes through Mulbekh and between the villages of Parakchik and Rangdum in the Suru valley. There are pockets of Muslims population in further east, in Padum, in Nubra Valley and in around Leh. The secular culture & the most important element is its rich oral literature of songs and poems for every occasion, as well as local versions of the Kesar saga, the Tibetian national epic. This literature is common to both Muslims and Buddhist.
After the journey of Leh finishes we would come back to Delhi. We would visit the Agra city, where the world famous monument of love "Taj mahal" lies.
